What is Sui?
Sui represents many assets and application states as objects. Transactions involving independent owned objects can be processed in parallel, while shared-object transactions pass through consensus; SUI pays gas, is delegated to validators and contributes to the network’s storage-fund economics.
Parallel execution can improve throughput for compatible workloads but does not make every smart contract parallel or remove validator, bridge and application risk. A large fixed supply was allocated at launch, so circulating-supply releases are a separate consideration from protocol transaction demand.
Sui does not send every transaction through the same fast path; shared-object transactions still require consensus ordering.
