What is Pump.fun?
Pump.fun lets users create and trade tokens through bonding curves before eligible markets migrate to PumpSwap. PUMP is the platform’s native ecosystem token, but it is not needed as Solana gas and does not give holders ownership of coins launched through the platform.
The project reports using a portion of protocol revenue for open-market PUMP purchases and burns. Its own disclosure says holders have no right to revenue or distributions and should not treat historical purchases as an unconditional future commitment, so valuation should distinguish observed burns from discretionary future policy.
PUMP is not a share in Pump.fun and does not give its holder a contractual claim on platform revenue, despite revenue-funded token burns.
