USDC is a dollar-denominated token issued by Circle for payments, trading and application settlement. Circle publishes reserve information and offers eligible customers redemption through its platform.
Native USDC is issued by Circle on a supported chain. Bridged versions are created by locking an asset and issuing a representation elsewhere, so their security and redeemability can depend on an additional bridge.
