What is Mantle?
Mantle is an Ethereum layer-2 ecosystem with modular execution, data-availability and settlement components. MNT pays gas on Mantle Network and holders can delegate voting power for ecosystem and treasury proposals.
MNT is not the asset that secures Ethereum consensus, and a transaction on Mantle inherits a more complex risk stack than an Ethereum layer-one transfer: sequencer and bridge operation, proof design, data availability and upgrade governance all matter. Treasury deployment can support growth but also makes governance concentration and spending quality material.
Paying gas in MNT does not mean Mantle is an independent layer-one security system; its rollup ultimately depends on Ethereum and additional protocol components.
